Hii friends this is my 14th blog. So I choose a very important topic to my blog  Trees are friends of man.It is a gift of the nature. The tree gives us good air and also good foods. If there are no trees we cannot get foods at all. The trees also gives us shelter as well as the timber to build houses. Not only that its provide us with many such as oil, lace, medical herbs, rubber and many other useful thing. Earch and the every parts of the tree are used in our foods too for an example roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits etc.  In the present not only in the village , but also in the towns we can see people have planted trees by the side of the road. Even in many of the Colombo city there are trees grown with the aim of giving shelter to the people. So we must plant trees so much

 Most of the poor people do not have a house to live in. The provision of suitable houses to shanty dwellers is also a necessity. The government is trying to do its utmost to provide shelter to the homeless people. There were one million housing programmes, and various other programmes to provide houses to the poor by the previous governments. Even the present government is trying to slove this problem. But the getting of money is the biggest problem. The International Monnetary fund and the world Bank are also providing financial assistance to our country to enable the government do these works. If we have money we can build at least a couple of thousand cottages for the poor homeless people.  The most important factor for the wellbeing of the poor people is food and shelter. Shelter means houses to live in and not pavements to sleep on. Therefore, we have to build more and more houses in villages, specially in the rural areas.  About two weeks ago we had an exam in Multi Disciplinary Design Department. So we had to create a new craft design to uplift the traditional industries. I drew a lot of sketches for that assignment and finally I choose the wood industry and designed a table lamp shade for both local and foreign tourists. So I used a tusked elephant who is playing with the water as an inspiration. The following is a modle of the lamp I designed. I create this modle by using clay and I used coconut shell. 

Hii friends in this blog I choose Mr. Mahagamasekara as my topic. I personally like his novels and poems very much.  Mahagamasekara was born on 7th April in 1929. He is not only a poet he is a multi talented person. He is a lyricist, novelist, playwright, translator, artist and as well as a filmmaker. but he won the most fan attention for his poetry. 'Nomiyemi', 'Sakwalihini', 'Heta Irak payai', 'Bodima' and 'prubudda' are also some of the poems he he wrote. 'Kundalakeshi', 'Sddantha' and 'Hansa Geethaya' are some of the plays he wrote. 'Thunman Handiya' and 'Manomandira' are novels written by him and later 'Thunman handiya' became a film of his own. Songs composed by Sekara were very popular. Hii friends today I would like to share an unforgetable experience I had in my life.  When I was in grade 11 I remembered the bombs had exploded in the salawa camp. My home also located in that area. It was a sunday, me and two of my best friends were at the mathematics class on that time. While we were at the class our teacher said that The bombs had exploded in the camp. The officers told us to leave that area until contral this fire. We could not believe it. We were very scared of our families because all of my family members were at home on that day. On that day the class also ended earlier. I got a phone call to my father very hard because the line is so busy at that time. Then he told me all of them are in save and go to a save place until he came to me. My best friend Sasanka told me to come with her to her home.  There are lots of helpless people in our country. Beggers are not the only helpless people. There may be others who are desperate and helpless on certain occasions. When a person falls into trouble he becomes helpless, if there is nobody to give him a helping hand. So it is the duty of everybody to do some service and be helpful to those who are poor and helpless.  There are many people, girls, boys, men and women who became helpless due to natural disasters. There are also people who have nobody to look after them. The physically and mentally handicapped people are also helpless. It is a noble habit to help these helpless people. The begger is undoubtedly a helpless person. But in the present some of the cunning and lazy people who are begging as a job.Most of the real beggers cannot do a job to  make their day-to-day exisence. So they have no way of earning money. They beg for food, clothing and money, more frequently to them and to feed their young and helpless family...

Hii friends, Today I would like to introduce a good friend of mine to all of you. It is a dog. I like animals very much specially dogs. Today I choose my lovely dog as a topic for my blog.  Its name is Niki. It's one year and eight month old now. It is a German shephard dog. It is a female dog. My father gave me her as my 20th birthday gift. I was surprised  because  I love dogs very much and I'm searching for a German Shephard dog for a long time. Finally I got a dog as a birthday gift. It is the most valuable gift I ever had before in my life. She is a good watcher. It never allows any outsider to come to our house, if it does not recognise the person. It doesn't feel the difference between the day time and the night.  No stranger or another animal could come to our house without her permission.   When I was in grade 5 we went on a tour of the city of Colombo. Almost all the students of the year five class came for the trip. Our teachers were also with us.  We arrived in Colombo around 9 O' clock in the morning. We had our breakfast at the Vihara Maha Devi Park and then went to see the Bank of Ceylon building. As we were getting down from the bus in front of the bank building there was a gentleman came towards us. He was an Executive in that bank. This gentleman welcomed us cordially and took us to the uppest storey of the building. It was the first time that I went to the top of very high building. All the students were slient. We looked down the very top of the Bank building. We saw the entire city of colombo clearly. What a beautiful city it was! The marvellous sea could be seen from one side. In these days we have university exams to choose the students for each departments. That is why last week we have to face the sculpture department exams. There we have to make an animal we don't see anywhere  before. Our lecturers conducted a work shop for explained us to how to do that work step by step. Firstly they told us to select any five animals and sketch them in a A3 paper. After that make an creative animal combination of that four or five animals. So I selected a buffalo, lion, bat and an snake for my work Then I create an animal using with buffalo's head and it front legs, behind the legs of lion, I applied the two wings of bat and I using a snake for it's tail for my creative work. In below you can see  the sketch of my creative animal.  After that I make an strong armchair and made that animal with clay. I had never carved a clay sculpture before that is why I did it very dedication and happily. I think it was success.

Hii friends this is the my fifth blog. Today I would like to tell about the most interesting English book I read before in my schoolage.  Our school library was rich of books. When I was in grade 12 one day I went to the library with my best friend Kaushi. She showed me a certain book and said that it was her favourite book. She also said it was the second part of the most famous adventures of Huckleberry Finn written by Mark twain. I borrowed the book from the library. When I went home on that day. I had an immediate lunch and I started reading that book. How interesting was it! It was a wonderful book. The book was full of adventures. The main character was huckleberry Finn who was a poor English boy whose father was a third class drunkard.  Hi friends today I would like to share something with you is very important. We have heard our teachers and parents always speak of value of having a good education. We here this from our childhood. It is the elders who know much more than us the value of education. Small children know how to play. They think much about playful things and toys. If we devote more time for playing we loose our valuable time which we devote for studies. Time is very important for any of us, specially for small children who are studying. "Today's child is tomorrow's citizen" is the saying. If the child gets a good education, he has a bright future. He will surely rise up and go to the highest position in the society if he is wise and educated. He can also get a very good job and a good way of making his living. Seethawaka Botanical garaden is also known as Seethawaka Wet Zone Botanic Garden. It is located in a beautiful villege called Ilukkovita in the Colombo district. This is a very beautiful place. This botanical garaden was oppened to the public in late octomber 2014 and also it is the most recently constructed botanical garden in sri lanka. it is open all year. There are so many threatened and vulnerable endemic plant species can be found here in the Sinharaja Rain Forest region.   This park is very close to my house. I can get there in about 20 minutes. Late march in 2021 me and four of my best friends went on a  small picnic there😍. My father droped me and one of my friend at there early in the morning and other of my friends also joined on there😍.  Then we brought the tickets and entered into the park. I think I don't want to say who is this😊, All of us known this person😀. he is a world famous person and a nice man who gets the smile for the other people faces😂. This is Charlie Chaplin💓. When I was too little I usually habitted to watched his shows very much😍. Its' so funny and I love them very much💓. I have loved drawing since I was a child💓. Do you know, This is the my first portrait drawing I drew this portrait when I was in grade 9😍. This is a pencil drawing and also I specially like pencil drawings very much💓.
